Terms of Use

Last updated: 1 May 2026

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Schoogle platform (the "Service") operated by Consulaw Tech Services Ltd ("Schoogle", "we", "us"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. If you are under 18, you represent that your parent or guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf. Users under 13 may only access the Service through a school institution account with appropriate parental consent on file with the school.

2. Your account

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at support@schoogleng.com if you suspect unauthorised access.

You may not share your account with others or create accounts for the purpose of abusing free trial benefits. We reserve the right to suspend accounts that violate these Terms.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Service or its infrastructure
  • Scrape, copy, or redistribute content from the Service without written permission
  • Upload or transmit malware, spam, or any harmful content
  • Impersonate any person or entity
  • Use the AI Tutor to generate content that is misleading, offensive, or violates the rights of others
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service
  • Use automated tools to access the Service at a rate that disrupts its normal operation

4. Content and intellectual property

All content on the Service — including lesson materials, AI-generated responses, past questions, and platform code — is owned by or licensed to Consulaw Tech Services Ltd and is protected by Nigerian and international copyright law.

You retain ownership of content you create (notes, custom study plans). By submitting content to the Service, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use, store, and display that content for the purpose of providing the Service.

You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our content without express written permission.

5. Subscriptions and payments

Certain features of the Service require a paid subscription. Prices are displayed in Nigerian Naira (₦) and are subject to change with 30 days' notice.

Payments are processed by Paystack. By subscribing, you authorise Paystack to charge your selected payment method on a recurring basis until you cancel.

Subscriptions renew automatically. You may cancel at any time from your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — no partial refunds are issued for the unused portion of a period, except where required by Nigerian consumer protection law.

We offer a 14-day free trial for Premium plans. Only one free trial per person. At the end of the trial, your payment method will be charged unless you cancel before the trial ends.

6. Tutors

Schoogle operates a marketplace that connects independent tutors with learners. Tutors are independent contractors, not employees of Consulaw Tech Services Ltd. Schoogle is not responsible for the quality, accuracy, or outcome of any tutoring session.

Tutors must comply with our Tutor Standards Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. We reserve the right to remove any tutor from the platform for conduct that violates our policies or harms users.

7. AI Tutor disclaimer

The AI Tutor is designed to assist learning and is aligned to Nigerian curriculum standards. However, AI-generated content may occasionally be inaccurate. Always verify important information against official WAEC/NECO materials. We do not warrant the accuracy, completeness, or fitness for purpose of AI Tutor responses.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Nigerian law, Consulaw Tech Services Ltd shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of revenue, or examination results.

Our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms or the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time if you violate these Terms, engage in fraud, or pose a risk to the safety of the platform or other users. You may delete your account at any time from your account settings.

On termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. We may retain your data for the period described in our Privacy Policy.

10. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Lagos State, Nigeria.

Before initiating formal proceedings, both parties agree to attempt good-faith resolution through direct communication for a period of 30 days.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or via a notice on the Service at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
